Miss Amazonas Fight is a mobile game that I made (concept, visual and programming) based in a real (and curious) history: a Miss candidate took the crown from the head of the contest winner in Manaus, capital of Amazonas in Brazil. The game became viral and was widely announced by the media, along with all the controversy that this event brought. The game goal is simple: the player (red dress) needs to quickly press a button that activates a meter. When this meter reaches the maximum limit the Miss crown goes from the contest winner's head (blue dress) to yours. Otherwise, after 15 seconds, the player is left without the crown. Kids love technology but some healthy habits like reading books end up lagging behind. So NFC Smart Book was created to motivate children to learn by reading books with a smarthphone to enrich its content. Brazil occupies the 60th position among 76 countries in the education ranking and any effort to improve this number is valid. In addition, the growing number of people (including children) who have a smartphone drive us to use it as a teaching tool in classrooms and not just a distraction. The book was developed by 3 people with different skills: Orange Santos is the creator and development guy. I'm the co-creator, UX designer and illustrator. And Mayana Veras is the research designer. Together we got involved in some startups acceleration competitions, but we're still trying to boost our idea to make an useful product, reaching our main goal: make children learn.
