In 2019, SIDIA, the company where I work currently, asked a team to design a showcase room to demonstrate its creative and technological power through a non-literal way in four months. This would help SIDIA to improve its portfolio and impact businesses. The main goal was: How to show what SIDIA does in an unforgettable way?
Some technologies developed by Sidia.
Design & Development.
SIDIA is located at Manaus, Amazonas, in the north of Brazil. The local culture and natural aspects are very rich, so we decided to create an immersive experience enabling visitors to feel themself inside the Amazon forest during the rain cycle, in addition to some magical and folkloric elements, such as the Pirarucu (biggest fresh water fish) and the Curupira (kind of elf with flaming hair).
We use high definition projectors to fill up the walls of the entire space with images and Kinetics devices to provide interactions, so users could play with the projected images. Beside SIDIA team, two more companies were involved to help us to build this Showcase. Moreover, we developed Denise, the first company's virtual employee. She's an user friendly A.I. who welcomes visitors introducing the Showcase experience. Denise becomes was quickly adopted by all company and now she's the face company on the social networks and internal communications.

Results.
The Showcase was presented during the SIDIA's new building inauguration party. It had great acceptance from visitors and employees, becoming a business tool to demonstrate SIDIA's technological and creative capabilities, reaching the goal proposed by the company's CEO.

Role.
My main role on this project was Lead UX Designer and Art Director, defining all main parts of the entire experience, in addition to guiding and reviewing aspects of the visual assets. Moreover I coded the front-end of the informative totem and illustrations for the Rubik's Cube that is sell in the Showcase store.
By the way, I wrote a detailed article on Medium with all steps, design process and challenges I faced on this project: link here.
